Scripture to Read: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
John doesn’t start with Bethlehem—he takes us all the way back to eternity. Before the world began, Jesus was already there: the eternal Word, God Himself, the One through whom everything was made.
And then the miracle happens: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). The eternal Son stepped into our world, not as a distant ruler but as one of us, full of grace and truth.
Reflect: What does it mean to you that Jesus—the eternal Word—chose to draw near, to dwell among us?
Pray: Jesus, thank You for coming close. Help me see Your glory, full of grace and truth, in my everyday life.
