Scripture to Read: “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mark 4:41)
The disciples thought they were going to drown. The storm was real, the waves fierce. And Jesus? He was asleep. But when they cried out, He stood and spoke a word: “Peace! Be still!”—and the storm obeyed.
This story reminds us that Jesus is Lord over creation and Lord over our fears. He may not calm every storm right away, but He is always present, and His power is greater than anything that threatens us.
Reflect: Where in your life do you feel tossed by waves right now? How might Jesus be inviting you to trust Him in the storm?
Pray: Lord Jesus, You are stronger than my fears. Speak peace into the storms of my life, and help me to trust that You are with me.
