I have been doing a fair amount of research and looking at the way we do church these days. Somehow we seem to think that we know better than many of God’s mighty generals, like Charles Spurgeon, D L Moody, A W Pink and many others, who preached holiness, the fear of God and they even preached about hell.
Today we are told that we are friends of God, which is somewhat true as Scripture says that we are no longer slaves but friends.
John 15:15
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
However, does this give us the right to treat God like “my buddy”?
Many have got into an emotional serving of God, with singing, dancing and carrying on just as the world does, except to so-called “Christian music”. People are dancing in church in the same way that the world is dancing in their night clubs.
If this is the case, we are basically doing all that the world is doing, except many have given up drinking alcohol and smoking and perhaps swearing, but we are pursuing money and prosperity in the same way that the world is and we are so busy with business, making daily declarations about “I know who I am” and thinking that we have the same power as God has and some even refer to themselves as “little Gods”. Many think they are Christians, but sadly they are fooling themselves.
Pastors who are enjoying all this entertainment with their congregations and even encouraging them in it, shame on you!
What happened to falling on our faces before our Holy, Almighty God and worshiping Him, not from emotions running high, but simply because we know that we are not worthy of so great a salvation, but are so grateful that He wanted to have eternity with us, so came down Himself, took on our human form to come and pay the price for us on Calvary.
Just for info, when Jesus came to earth, for those who are confused, He came as 100% God and 100% man and hence, He did not need to be born again. I cannot imagine how people think that God had to be born again! Jesus was the first born from the dead, where He arose from the dead with His glorified body, but never, ever was He the first to be born again.

People, we need to get back to the fear of God, otherwise we are no better than the world and will find ourselves going to a lost eternity, or hell to put it plainly.
